Parents may not be so sure about all the violence. Kids will be enchanted by the battles, the glorious eye-candy costumes, and the heavy mythology and jargon in Power Rangers Ninja Storm: guns are not guns, they're battlizers, weapons aren't weapons, they're zords. It winds up that Cam made a virtual replica with a personality opposite of his own (laid back, great at sports) because he feels insecure about his real personality. Plus, some of the storylines are positively sci-fi brilliant, such as when Sensei Watanabe's son, Cam, makes a virtual replica of himself to keep an eye on the homefront while he is out on Ranger missions. And the actors inside the costumes are personable and fun to watch, even relatable. The costumes are eye-popping, though some of the giant lizards or other bugaboos may unnerve younger or sensitive children. This installment in the Power Rangers universe is loud and violent, but oddly clever at the same time. Now the three must band together to defeat the evil Lothor and his minions. To stop Lothor, Sensei Kanoi Watanabe gives Tori, Shane, and Dustin the key to becoming Power Rangers, superheroes with color-coded costumes and special powers. The three are students at the Wind Ninja Academy when all the ninja students on earth except them are captured by evil villain Lothor (Grant McFarland). In Power Rangers Ninja Storm, the Rangers consist of Tori (Sally Martin), a surfer who commands the power of water Shane (Pua Magasiva), a skateboarder who holds power over air and Dustin (Glenn McMillan), a motocross biker who commands earth. ![]() After the end of that show, the decision was made to take the franchise in a new direction each year, with a shifting main cast and storylines. POWER RANGERS NINJA STORM is a live-action children's television series, based on a set of costumed superheroes originally introduced as the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, which ran three seasons from 1993 to 1995. Just an empty story to enjoy the explosions But if you are just there to see mindless violence, and need to past the time, I would recommend such shows for they both have no strong educational values and no bad messages. It could have potential, but as usual, it comes off as slightly cheesy and just cheap. Its just that you don't see that much thought in the script writing and not much money being pumped in. Though power rangers are iconic in the television, like the Transformers franchise, it is there to sell toys that can successfully transform the same way. As a child I was always impressed with the design and that is really the whole point. ![]() They were flashy and well designed giving so many configuration which is different from those like Wildforce where there are multiple zords to interchange. But what really stood out and made this my favorite power rangers show was the zords. The story really just follow the same plot. However, I cannot avoid the fact that these shows are really starting to blend together. I loved the concept and the format of every series. For every hero who can fly or stick to walls, there are plenty of people in My Hero Academia who just have minor telekinesis or are literally a talking mouse. The Power Rangers are simply just iconic and amazing. Even in a world where you're almost guaranteed to have some sort of odd power, not all quirks are created equal. These superpowers run the gamut from the standard Superman-esque powerset to the completely bizarre. With such a huge population of super-powered individuals, the world of My Hero Academia, somewhat predictably, has a ridiculous number of weird power combinations. Quirk-y people also usually inherit some form of one or both of their parents' quirks, or just manifest an entirely unique power. Transformation types transform like the Hulk, and Emitter types basically do everything else, from shooting lasers to softening the ground. ![]() ![]() Heteromorphic types are always partially active, usually in some physical sense. These meta abilities generally fall under three categories: Emitter, Transformation, and Heteromorphic. In the world of My Hero Academia, nearly 80 percent of the population have inborn superpowers called quirks.
